An Entrepreneur and Advocate for Healthy Living and Healthy Soils, Karen Scalf is actively involved on National, State, and Local levels for Farming Opportunities.
Karen also empowers others to step up and step out as the Voice of Agriculture.

national Efforts
On the National level, the Public House of Soil is uniting Farmers to restore the Land thru Healthy Soil Practices.
State Work
On the State level, Karen serves as the Vice-Chairman for the North Carolina Soil Health Coalition, engaging farmers across North and South Carolina.
Local Impacts
On the Local level in Duplin County, Karen created Real Foods United as a platform for local farms to market Farm Direct Foods and Health while uniting the Community.

Family Farming
Karen and her husband Gary, operate KHFarms with it's testimony of 76 years of farming & livestock.
Karen's favorite days are spent with her family and granddaughter Mabel in the pastures alongside the Hereford beef cattle, as well as the growing herd of Jersey milk cows. Long live the Soil,... the Life of a Nation.
